Snorkeling

These beautiful, calm seas are also safe for children. You can encounter lots of different fish and corals just by going underwater a little, including shoals of clownfish or slender sprats! You can snorkel even if you can’t swim, meaning you can have fun based on your level, from the shallow areas to deep places.

SUP

SUP experiences are offered on the wide and shallow Ohama Beach, with its gentle waves. Careful guidance is provided by experienced instructors, so even beginners can participate with peace of mind. You can borrow the SUP equipment and clothing, plus a snorkeling set, free of charge.

Fun on the seashore

Search for creatures living on the seashore, including hermit crabs, shrimp, and shellfish, on shallow beaches with gentle waves and in tide pools on the seashore! You might discover lots of marine creatures on the shore when the tide is out. You can also look for shells in the sand.

Glass-bottomed boat

Visit Takenoko Island, designated as a Japanese marine park, on a semi-submersible glass-bottomed boat. This area boasts incredibly clear waters, in which you can enjoy the beautiful sights of coral on the seabed, tropical fish, and seaweed.

Sea kayaking

You can move around freely in a sea kayak—get in and head out on the water.
Kayakers can enjoy the natural world to the utmost, including the dynamic topography of the island and the sight of the seabed though the clear waters. Enjoy views only visible from the sea.

Scuba diving

Goto offers everything from diving experiences for beginners to fun dives for experienced divers. With colorful fish, coral, and more, there’s plenty to see! You may even encounter schools of horse mackerel or Japanese amberjack.
