Naru Summer Festival 14 August 2026

Enjoy summer vibes in the hidden gem of Goto city - Naru Island!

Watching fireworks explode over the sea is pure magic, and on that day the island will be teeming with tons of interesting activities! This is once in a year event in Naru island - an island known for its Hidden Christian World Heritage Site.

Naru Summer Festival will take place on 14 August 2026. Below is the planned schedule for the day.
 

Event information
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Food & Craft Stalls

5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Opening Ceremony

5:50 PM – 18:00 PM: Speeches by new youth turned 20 years old/Coming-of-age speeches

6:10-6:20 PM: Throwing rice cakes & sweets to the crowd!!! You can collect as much as you can grab!!!

18:35 - 19:05 PM: Speed Eating & Drinking Contest

7:20-7:50 PM: Lucky Raffle Draw

7:55 - 8:10 PM: "Sky Full of Balloons" spectacle

(Venue: Naru Town Sports ground, in case of rain event will be conducted inside Naru Sports Hall)

8:30 PM – 9:00 PM: Fireworks Display (Hanabi)

(Venue: Close to the old ferry terminal)
